Competition in November

Hi, I was thinking of organizing a competition in mid November just before Malaysian Open 2010 to let everyone know where they stand.

Does anyone know of a suitable and cheap venue that we can book for the competition which should be a 2 day competition.
Or if someone is staying in a condo, will we be able to hold it in the function hall of the condo?

I was also thinking of having a registration fee of maybe around $5, so that it will help us cover the venue cost.
