Oh long time no post again.
Btw, will there be a Singapore Open next year?
Because my friend is interested in joining next year or in 2011.
He regretted not joining this year.

And also, are you still holding cube meetings in Suntec?
I went to Suntec on Saturday 11 October for studying and curiously, I went to your usual meeting spots but I don't see anyone...

We have not planned any competitions for next year as of yet.
We might have a Singapore Open 2010 since WCA Delegate Anders Larsson is now residing in Singapore.
We will announce on this forum if we have anything planned.

I guess no one goes to the weekly meetings due to exams?
Maybe you can plan one during the November Holidays?

It would be a good idea to start the discussion about, and planning for, Singapore Open 2010!

Since the Health is Wealth Comp. ended, I think it would be a productive time to further discuss our plans for next years competition. Lets revitalize and improve Singapore's cubing scene .

Haha. First thing that needs to be decided is the location. It has to be as Central as possible and also affordable rental at the same time.

That place is kinda inaccessible to some.

a bit cold there =P
And we can't control their air con temperature.

But if we don't have any other choices then most probably we'll hold it there again, just that SAFRA won't be sponsoring anything.

Cos we don't want them to sponsor. They like to do stuff which are against WCA regulations.

I don't mind to sound rude or something, but the day Spinworkx sponsor us will be the day Pigs will fly.

this year open 2009 , at safra was good .
as it's very spacious .
just hold next year's there .
and if possible , don't set the comp like in the middle of a school semester .
cause if you do so , there won't be so many ppl .
try setting it up during the term hols or june hols .
btw , i'm just suggesting ((:

I get what you're trying to say.

This year we did it during the beginning of the school semester, so people won't be so busy.
Because if we do it during the June Holidays, those taking the National GCE N/O/A Levels will not be able to make it and the number of people taking the national examinations every year is quite huge.

This will be taken into consideration when we meet up to plan for next year's Singapore Open.
