1. cross tutorial that i've made...first put all the cross edges at last layer before dropping them at the 1st layer...meant for those that wants to start learning to solve a cube..can use to teach ppl at workshop...my way of doing cross beginner-ly...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvOHaRmk7AM&fmt=18

2. next step on solving the cube...this is the tutorial on how to insert the corners for 1st layer to complete 1st layer...
had problems sometimes aligning the colours lolz..cuz got light reflection make the red sometimes look orange...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zodTWaUX1kw&fmt=18

3. after the 1st layer is done...the next step is to solve the edges of the 2nd layer....
this tutorial teaches how to recognise the edges that belongs to 2nd layer, how to align them and how to insert them to the 2nd layer...
following is the link to my 2nd layer edge tutorial...enjoy...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuixB9znEt0&fmt=18

*UPDATE*
4. after finishing 1st 2 layers...the last is to finish up the last layer....
this tutorial teaches to use 5look last layer to finish the last layer. It will touch on doing orientation of last layer(OLL) using sunes/fish, permutate corners(using A perm) and finally permutate the edges(using U perm) to complete the cube....enjoy...

due to the length of the video being too long, the video has been spilt into 2 parts...sry for the inconvinence

Part 1/2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbqqQqIjj24&fmt=18
Part 2/2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9RUrJScWzM&fmt=18

not bad. easily explained. but you can try saying the colour of the edge (e.g. Blue/white) instead of "this edge"

this won't improve ur timing much unless u r still taking like 20sec+ for cross, it consist of alot of turns...but...can be done quickly without thinking much...

do it intuitively...

try doing ur cross blind for practise...memorise the steps to do the cross and do it blindly..normally u would make it as little turns as possible as it's easier to memorise..
